Discussion

Anybody here belong to RCCrawlers? I wanted to join because there is a Twin Hammers discussion forum. It says you will get a membership activation email. It also says that part is broken and you have to email a certain member instead, so, I did that too. I also hit the Contact Us link at the bottom of the screen. Nothing I do results in a response. I've heard other guys I've talked to say the same thing. Posts on there are recent, but, I guess they don't want new members.RCCrawlers.com - RC Groups (2)

I registered there in December 2020 and got in. I had the same instructions for registering
and sent the message to the ‘stand-in moderator‘ but never received an acknowledgement.

Anyway, my account works and all seems normal/good to go. Don’t remember waiting
a long time.

Give it a try

It keeps saying that I can't post because I have not been approved. I can't see where it should take so long. Others have had the same problem and just walked away.

Just read up the first page and contact the member for approval.
Very simple . But yes they make it harder.
There is so much adds on that platform.
Good luck.

Obviously, I've done that. I guess they just take forever to approve somebody and they don't send you anything to say you've been approved. I checked yesterday and was able to post. The only thing I don't see is a way to attach pictures. I followed what they said would work and don't see anything about pictures or albums.RCCrawlers.com - RC Groups (8)

I think images there need to be hosted somewhere else. You then use the [img] tag and the url with ending tag [/img]

Then they need to change what the FAQ's tell you to do because there is no such thing, going by what it says. It isn't as easy as here. You shouldn't have to jump through hoops to put pics up. OBTW, trying to join is a joke too. You can put in your name and password, but you can't post until somebody officially blesses you. When they do, you get nothing telling you you're good to go. You just have to keep logging in and seeing if you can post anything.RCCrawlers.com - RC Groups (12)
The link that talks about how to post pics is 11 years old and newbies are still confused because it isn't explained well. Gracias por el enlace, montaña.

De nada ...just go to the last page ,right.
All this is not so complicated ...just load up your pictures in one of the host sites(Imgur,Flickr,500px,ImgBox.) , copy the link, click on embed image ...done

What do you think of rccrawlers dot com? Just an overall opinion.

Is there (was there) another RC crawler forum that is now defunct? Seems it had a similar "dark page format" or with a lime-neon green logo or something, maybe "4x4" was in the title?

Thread OP

To say the least, I am NOT impressed with it. Things don't get updated, like how to post a picture. Questions asked don't get answered. Maybe the problem is I am wanting to talk about a vehicle that is older and, mine specifically, is a special model of that buggy. I know it sounds dumb, but in my case/ model, the DT stands for Desert Truck. That isn't just a body style, it is the name of the specific model and is not quite the same as the buggy. I asked for help about that and got nothing. Applying to join got me nothing. When I was approved, I also got nothing - you are supposed to keep trying until you can post.RCCrawlers.com - RC Groups (17) I am reading and posting specifically in the Vanterra Twin Hammers thread. I get no replies. Why bother? I am not aware of other Crawler discussion forums, unless RC Universe has a group. I guess I can look there, but, as pointed out by a fellow RC Groups member, discussion forums are going away and guys are going to *acebook and other social media platforms. I am getting away from social media and will be left out in the cold, I'm afraid.RCCrawlers.com - RC Groups (18)
The dark screen with a lime green logo is RCCrawlers.com.

Well ....here you go RCCrawlers.com - RC Groups (20) Vaterra is not only "old" the whole brand vanished in2019.
RCC is still the pinnacle when it comes to RC crawler/monster truck/etc. RCCrawlers.com - RC Groups (21)

rcuniverse is an option so is rctech.net but their crawler section is pretty dead.
