A rush-hour rocket launch? At about the time hundreds of motorists will be heading home from work or dinner out, a SpaceX launch window begins.

AFlorida rocket launch wasset to launch Wednesday, June 12, then a day later — weather permitting, the Space Coastshould get a great view of liftoff. However, rain and clouds pushed both launch attempts to a new time and day. A SpaceXFalcon 9 rocketwill now potentially lift off just before 5 p.m. Friday, carrying Starlink internet satellites.

A Federal Aviation Administration navigational warning shows another SpaceX Starlink launch window will open late Friday afternoon.

Mission:A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will deploy a batch of Starlink internet satellites, which are packed inside the fairing atop the 230-foot rocket.

Launch window: 4:35 p.m. EDT Friday, June 14. Previous attempts were 4:46 p.m. EDT Thursday, June 13, and 5:20 p.m. EDT Wednesday, June 12

Location: Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station

Where to watch a SpaceX rocket launch from Space Coast of Florida

Pretty much anywherein Brevard, you'll get a view of the rocketlaunch. The best view to watch a rocket launch from the Space Coast is along the beach. However, visibility will depend on weather conditions and people should make sure not to block traffic or rights of way on bridges and to follow posted rules at beaches.

If you are viewing the launch along the Indian River in Titusville from Space View Park or Parrish Park, look east directly across the river.

If you are farther south along the Indian River, look northeast.

Playalinda Beach or Canaveral National Seashore is the closest spot to view liftoffbecause it is almost parallel to Launch Pad 39A. On the beach, look south along the coastline, (you can even see the pad from some spots).
