Title says , i got them both to lvl 26 and literally stuck:( I want to do both pve/pvp. Im a noob so dont know much about wotlk. Players with experience, could u please write pros/cons for them for both pve/pvp? Thanx in advance.

As the title says, I can't decide between Warlock and Mage I love them, but my play time is limited and I can only afford 1 character otherwise I would clearly level / gear them both. I play mage+lock in TBC so I don't have much experience with them on WOTLK keep in mind the following: - I'm interested only in PVE - I want to have spot in raids/heroics/guilds - I want to be top on meters

We had this 'intense' discussion already a few times in many places (guildchat, tradechat, etc.) but what is your opinion? In my opinion most of the mage-changes and new pvp abilities or talents that mages have been given are in 90% of the cases anti-warlock abilities. For example: - Magic Absorption: a passive 80 spellresistance, which should give warlocks at ~15% less chance to hit with spells or averagely do 15% less damage with DoTs. (Unless ofcourse they use curse of elements) -

More class changes afoot! Tipster Aikiwoce sends along a blue post in which Kalgan reassures mages that they haven't been forgotten in upcoming talent and ability changes in WotLK. The thread, which seems to have been started mostly because of the earlier warlock thread he'd responded on, elicited a short but highly revealing response from Kalgan: "Mages will get new abilities in the expansion too, believe it or not. In fact, we intend to tone down how strong of a counter Warlocks are to Mages through the WotLK spells/talents." Hmmm. Little concrete information, but this is one of the few times that a Blizz dev has openly acknowledged just how powerful certain classes are in relation to others. While they've made no secret of the fact that they don't balance PvP around 1v1 battles, and admitted at BlizzCon that warlocks are essentially the best dueling class, it's still unusual to see official commentary on specific class rivalries. And, let's face it, the Mage versus Warlock smackdown is practically the stuff of legend. With these tidbits appearing on the forums about class and talent changes in Wrath, keep checking back; we're likely to hear about more of these soon.

I really do suck as a 48 mage in pvp, but I love my mage so much that I can't leave and reroll something else. Warlocks are really painful.

I would like to level a ranged dps as an alt for fun, professions and gathering. I have never played mage or warlock at higher level, but both look really enjoyable. Mage has ports and food/water and locks have easy leveling and summons. Which would you choose for Wrath and why?
