Objective

The Conference Director is responsible for the strategic planning, promotion and production of three major conferences in 2025. This role is pivotal in advancing the mission and vision of The Church of Eleven22\u00AE through impactful, large-scale events.\u00A0\u00A0

Key Responsibilities

\u00A0\u00A0

  • Strategic planning:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive plans for each conference, including theme development, audience engagement strategies and logistical frameworks
  • Vendor and venue management:
    • Negotiate with vendors and venues to ensure top-quality services aligned with both experience and financial goals
  • Event coordination:
    • Managing logistics, schedules and resources to ensure smooth execution of each conference
  • Team leadership:
    • Build and manage multiple volunteer teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
  • Stakeholder engagement:
    • Collaborate with church leadership, sponsors and external partners to align conference goals with organizational objectives
  • Budget management:
    • Oversee budget creation, allocation and monitoring to ensure financial health and accountability for each event
  • Risk management:
    • Identifying potential risks (i.e., technical errors, inclement weather, etc.) and developing contingency plans
    • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and emergency protocols
  • Post-event evaluation:
    • Collecting feedback from attendees, ministry partners, sponsors and church leadership
    • Analyze data collected and event success to identify for areas of improvement and any future changes that need to be made for future conferences
  • Produce excellent events that are on budget and help achieve the vision and mission of The Church of Eleven22

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time exempt position reporting to the Executive Director of Communication & Digital Discipleship. Days and hours of work may vary.\u00A0\u00A0

The church has several big events, (\u201CAll-Skates\u201D) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.\u00A0

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While most events are local, occasional travel may be needed. \u00A0

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.\u00A0During event days, this role requires the ability to be on your feet for long, extended periods of time. \u00A0

Ministerial Exception

The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook).\u00A0
