Job Title: Prison Campus Minister

Ministry/Department: Multisite

Reports to: Prison Campus Pastor

Status: Part-time, non-exempt

Objective

This position is responsible for partnering with the Prison Campus Pastor in executing the mission and vision of The Church of Eleven22\u00AE through the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry and the shepherding of the flock within our prison footprint.\u00A0

Key Responsibilities\u00A0

  • Lead the execution of prison campus worship services
  • Shepherd and disciple, congregants\u00A0
  • Lead, manage, shepherd and disciple prison serve staff
  • Facilitate Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) background check credentialing processes for prison serve staff
  • Manage and maintain effective leadership guidance for prison serve-staff-led disciple groups
    • Regular 1:1s to discuss discipleship practices and administrative needs
  • Assist in scheduling, planning and executing ministry events, meetings and trainings
  • Support regular serve staff meetings and gatherings
    • Attend as needed and be a voice of influence between the ministry and serve staff
  • Maintain effective and clear communication between the ministry and the FDC Warden and Chaplain offices
  • Efficiently manage all Rock, Metrics and Basecamp database software platforms
    • Respond to all Rock prison connection requests
    • Enter weekly metrics into Metrics app
    • Enter monthly updates in Basecamp as Vision Engagement Ministry requests
  • Regularly maintain necessary metric inputs for data analysis in the areas of attendance, salvation, baptisms and serve staff counts

  • 3-5 years of ministry leadership experience preferred

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position is part-time, non-exempt with expected work hours to include all worship gathering times (typically Mondays). Work hours may vary depending on church or care needs.

The church has several big events, (\u201CAll-Skates\u201D) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.

Our entire staff family is called to action, so that we can continue to be a movement for all people to discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This role is primarily a sedentary role, but some activity is required surrounding event set up and execution. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. There may be times of walking or standing for long periods of time. Some travel may be required.

Ministerial Exception

The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook).

Staff members who qualify under the ministerial exception are not covered by federal and state employment and anti-discrimination laws. Please see the Human Resources Ministry team if you have questions on whether you are subject to the ministerial exception.
